Sooo cold and dark and snowy outside and most of the people at work are home sick and i felt lonely today. Yesterday i spent my day off watching a cartoon version of "Alice In Wonderland" and jotting down all these costumes ideas for the dance recital. I still have the original Lewis Carroll book from when i was kid, a gift from an aunt and i can't believe it that i had scribbled through the pictures! I actually had used magic markers..ugh! and my attempt at drawing a picture of the March Hare is hilarious. I always liked the Cheshire cat.
"alice a childish story take, and with a gentle hand
lay it where childhood's dreams are twined
in memory's mystic band,
like pilgrim's withered wreath of flowers
plucked in a far-off land."
I really really miss this show..
locker jokes, the dungeon, the green slime that usually came down when someone said "i don't know", barf burgers, cast members being watered when someone would say "water",firing squad sketches,etc..My history teacher Mr.Gillis had his son in the show, Alisdair Gillis, his son didn't go to my school but his father taught me (i had him for history, music and shop), and he'd always show pictures of his son in magazines to me during lunchtime. I saw the producer/actor of the show this one time inside a Giant Tiger at the mall and i was too afraid to approach him, he just looked so scary to me as opposed to the way he looked on tv. You Can't Do That On Television was my number one favourite Canadian show ever.
